SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE MADE IT TO OSCAR NOMINATIONS

Slum Dog Millionaire , directed by British director Danny Boyle , after winning 4 Golden Globe awards at 66th Golden Globe Awards Ceremony held on January 11, 2009, Los Angeles , has now been nominated in 10 categories for the most prestigious Oscar awards .
Awards won by Slumdog Millionaire at Golden Globe Awards include
1. Best Motion Picture -Drama
2. Best Director - Danny Boyle
3. Best Screenplay - Simon Beaufoy
4. Best Original Score - A.R.Rahman

In Oscar nominations, Danny Boyle has been nominated for best director category & Indian veteran music director A.R. Rehman in best music director category. A.R. Rhman has also won the best music director's award at Golden Globe awards. Now, let's see how many awards are going to be won by this movie out of the 10 nominations for Oscar awards.
This movie focussed on the slum life of Mumbai & is based on the novel Q and A which is written by Indian author & diplomat Vikas Swaroop who hails from Allahabad (U.P.) .
Director Danny Boyle has also won Director's Guild of America (DGA) award for this movie.
After this movie's huge success India is feeling very proud for both Vikas Swarup & A.R. Rehman whose every creation is a masterpiece. With this award A.R. Rehman has become the first Indian to win Golden Globe Award for best original music score.
