ANDREW FLINTOFF & KEVIN PIETERSEN, MOST EXPENSIVE PLAYERS IN IPL





Andrew Flintoff & Kevin Pietersen emerged as the world'd most expensive players in IPL after being sold for a whopping $1.55 milliom each at February 6 auction held at Goa. They have surpassed Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni who was the last season's most expensive player , bought by Chennai Super Kings at $1.5 million.
The hard-hitting batsman, Kevin Pietersen was bought by Vijay Mallya, the owner of Bangalore Royal Challengers while the all-rounder andrew Flintoff went to Chennai Super Kings. Both of them were most sought after players at the auction.
J P Dumminy, the South Frican batsman who has been in the great form for the last few months was bought by Mumbai Indians for $950,000. Mashrafe Murtaza was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders who were lacking pace attack as Umar Gul & Shoaib Akhtar will not be available for this season of IPL.

Few days ago, Shilpa Shetty along with a Dubai based businessman has taken a 12% stake in Rajasthan Royals. Now, Shilpa Shetty will be cheering her team along with Preity Zinta & Juhi Chawla at the 2nd season of IPL scheduled to be held in April this year.
