GOOD SHOW BY INDIA AT AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2009

Yuki Bhambri , new Indian tennis sensation has brought laurels to the country winning the junior boys title after beating Greman opponent Alexandrous-Ferdinandos Georgoudas by 6-3,6-1 in the final at the recently concluded Australian Open 2009 in Australia. Noe he has become the fourth Indian to win a title after Ramesh Krishnan(French & Wimbledon junior champ in 1979) & Leander Paes(Wimbledon junior in 1990 & the US open title in 1991) . He is also the first Indian to win Australian open in junior's title . He was very much inspired with his sisters Sana & Ankita Bhambri.

Sania Mirza & Mahesh Bhupati duo has also added to the joy after winning the mixed doubles grandslam title at Australian open 2009 & become the first Indian pair to win a grandslam in mixed doubles. It was Sania Mirza's maiden Grans Slam title & also the first by an Indian woman.

Mahesh Bhupati also finished runners-up in the men's doubles with his partner Mark Knowles of the Bhamas , losing the title to Bob & Mike Bryan of USA.
So , it's a great feeling for all Indians for such a huge success & pray for better future of Indian tennis .
